Cedar Valley
Non-Profit Gathering

The Wildwood Collective is a movement of advocates coming alongside families before, during and beyond foster care. We know that the foster care crisis isn’t isolated from other important issues in our community. We love the powerful "river analogy" in the video below, describing how we all come together for vulnerable kids and families. We need one another, with different organizations stepping in upstream (prevention), midstream (intervention) or downstream (restoration) to get kids and families back onto stable footing.

We’re inviting leaders from non-profits we admire who are doing great work “along the river” for this networking time.

You’ll walk away with:

  • Connection and encouragement with others who are doing great work in the Cedar Valley

  • Information about our work at the Wildwood Collective - and conversely, we'll get to learn about your meaningful work.

RSVP below to let us know you're coming. We're excited to meet you.

(Thanks to The Riverside Project in Houston for illustrating this concept so beautifully.)

Event FAQs

What is the Wildwood Collective? The Wildwood Collective is a growing movement of churches and organizations caring for vulnerable children. Families are breaking down at an alarming rate and the most vulnerable in our communities are slipping through the cracks. But together, we can change this! We know that there are countless individuals and churches who want to help, but don’t know where to start. The Wildwood Collective provides proven step-by-step methods, training and resources for local churches to sustainably care for foster, adoptive, kinship and struggling biological families. (Wildwood Collective is an initiative of Wildwood Hills Ranch. Learn more about the Ranch here.

What will we do at this gathering? Expect an informal gathering, with lots of time to connect with others in the room. It will include a very brief overview of the Wildwood Collective. â€‹

Should I invite a church leader I know? The networking and content at this gathering is uniquely tailored to non-profit leaders. However, there is also a gathering on August 29 for pastors to discover ways the Church can collectively rally around vulnerable families and address the foster care crisis. We would love to invite churches to that gathering. Please reach out to us, so we'll know to invite them to the Pastors & Church Leaders Breakfast!
